MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION

DHS 83 Course Requirement for Administering Medication. The course will cover residents' rights, facility policies, procedures, delegated procedures, medication management, medical terms and abbreviations, medication packaging, labeling, and storage.

• PRICE: $170.00 (this includes the $20.00 application fee required by the State of WI)
• PAYMENT: Prepayment is required and non-refundable, but you can reschedule for another prescheduled group class. Please note the following in regards to rescheduling.
  • Class dates can be rescheduled at no cost if requested by email no later than noon (12 p.m.) the business day before the originally scheduled course. This can be done only once, and the rescheduling fee will apply to any additional rescheduling requests.
  • The rescheduled class date must be within six (6) months of the initially scheduled course. Failure to complete the course within the given time will result in the student forfeiting their registration payment. Full course payment will be required if the student wishes to reschedule.
  • Rescheduling Fee: 50% of the course fee
• COURSE COMPLETION: Payment for the course does not guarantee certification. Any participant that does not attend the entire course or pass any required skills/written testing will be required to retake the course at full cost.
  • LATE ARRIVALS: Students more than 10 minutes late will not be admitted to the scheduled class, and the rescheduling fee listed above will apply if they would like to reschedule. 
  • NO CALL / NO SHOW: Students that cannot make their scheduled class and do not contact Healthline within one week of the originally scheduled course will be considered NO CALL NO SHOW. Students that would like to reschedule will be required to pay the full course fee.
